Dandelions

Dandelion leaves are very healthy for you.  The leaves are great for water retention.
You can use the flowers, leaves and stems in a lot mexican food and stuff.
I love to use the leaves and stems in my smoothies.  They have a slightly
bitter taste that can easily be overcame with fruit .

WEIGHT BALLS

I had a customer today who is a personal trainer.  I did not know this.  He asked what I was doing.  I explained to him about my new food regime.  He asked me about exercise.  I told him that I just started and was mainly walking.  He gave me some walking tips.  I told him that I have weight balls.  He gave me some tips for using them.  Here is one of them:  when you are walking, have a weight ball in each hand.  Bring your hands together near your middle and  then bring them up till each elbow is parallel to your shoulders. This will help a lot with the underarm wave.

Beans Beans Beans

Little tidbit of info about beans.  If you add 1/2 cup of kidney beans to your green salad you add 7 grams of protein.  1/2 cup of chickpeas add 6 grams.

LEARNING

I had proof today that I am learning.  I went to Whole Foods today.  They had a bunch of sample stations going on.  I went to one where the woman was selling Vegan Raspberry Parfait.    I asked her what the sugar content was.  She had no idea.  I realized that they used dates.  Another woman came up and wanted to know if it was yogurt based.  The WF lady said that it was.  I said it couldn't be if it was vegan.  I found out it was tofu based.  I had more information about the parfait than the woman selling it.  That made me fell good (and a little superior) LOL!

Bok Choy has more protein than almost any other green.  Last night when I got home from school I took a couple pieces of bok choy, a tomato, cucumber, a garlic clove, rainbow chard, a carrot, some aloe vera juice and water and put it in my bullet.  I made a nice thick soup that tasted like a garden salad.  It was wonderful and loaded with protein and nutrients and only took about three minutes to make.

LETS GET PHYSICAL!!!

WHAT DID YOU DO TODAY TO GET PHYSICAL? DID YOU MAYBE TAKE A WALK, PARK FARTHER AWAY FROM YOUR LOCATION, DO LUNGES IN THE BATHROOM WHILE BRUSHING YOUR TEETH?
